  Founded in Edinburgh
  We started out as experts delivering business and technical change, at this time with only a handful of staff.

  Focused our services solely on collections and recoveries
  Within a few years, we had established ourselves as collections and recoveries subject matter experts, providing a mix of consultancy, interim management support, and training.

  First project in mainland Europe
  Having worked with clients all over the UK for almost a decade, we partnered with an international bank to guide them towards a best in class collections operation in Germany and Spain.

  First project in the Americas
  We continued our growth with a project to help our client manage an increase in mortgage payment defaults and customers facing financial difficulties.

  Opened London office
  Our team expanded even further, and we opened an office in London.

  First project in Asia Pacific
  Our client in Australia asked us to benchmark their collections operation to ensure it was future proofed and would remain a long-term centre of excellence.

  Sale of Arum to Jamie Waller
  Jamie Waller (entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist and author) was the lead investor on the deal to acquire Arum, due to its great reputation in the industry, expertise, quality of service, transparency and ability to deliver.

  Achieved ISO and Cyber Essentials accreditations
  We successfully gained several world-class, globally recognised accreditations, which demonstrate that Arum’s work is managed in line with international recommendations.

  Launched new business, Just
  The Arum Group launched Just, the UK's first enforcement market integrator, which offers clients a single route to resolve problem debt through a network of debt recovery, litigation, and enforcement suppliers.

  Won important industry award
  Arum won an award for our development of an automated Breathing Space solution for Lloyds Banking Group, which has helped thousands of customers. See all of Arum's award successes.

  Opened Nottingham office
  We opened a joint office with our sister company, Just, in the heart of Nottingham.

  Appointed to landmark government framework
  We became a supplier on Crown Commercial Service's Debt Resolution Services framework to provide Fraud, Error and Debt Advisory services to the public sector, adding to the other frameworks we are on.

  Celebrating our 25th birthday
  Having grown from a small team in Edinburgh in 1998 to being at the forefront of the collections and recoveries industry, we've worked with hundreds of clients in over 20 countries around the world. In 2023, we strengthened our international presence with several high profile projects for top tier financial services organisations in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.

  Became B Corp certified
  We successfully became a B Corporation, joining a community of 7,000 companies globally reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit. We've been certified as having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.

  Joined Receivables Management Association International (RMAI)
  We became a member of RMAI, marking a further step in our strategic expansion in the United States and international growth journey. This membership supports our ongoing commitment to industry best practices in the receivables management sector and delivering better customer outcomes across the credit lifecycle.
